A game effort was put in  by all the compettitors in such blustery weather, with some of the fences paying the price and even with the committees efforts still tried to blow over.The riders in classes 1 and 2 rode over shortened  course much to the relief of the mums who had there best running shoes on. The winner being Helen Rockall on a very fun run Moon.In second and fourth was Eden Davey on her fast shetlands Teddy and Mally, And sisters Abigail and Lucy Parks Sharing the ride on Annie to take third and fifth places.
 
The rider of the day must go to Courtney Fellow on Midas who was placed first in four classes and second in two.
 
The Day ended with the Open Jumping Which was won by Issy tompkins on her lovely bay followed by Sammy Enticott and her 6yr old coloured Rufus, Koren Marner and stella took third with four faults and Colin Richardson and Becky Pay put in very gallant effort to take 4th and 5th places.
The show jumping team of Sam Butler,Helen Underwood, Abbey Davey and Sacha Parks would like to thank fred and chloe for all there help with the course building throughout the day and  also building the course on friday until nearly 9pm . It was felt that all that attended had a good day and the show jumping committee would like to thank Nikki Deere and Rebecca Packham for their help today as without their extra help the event wouldn't have been able to go ahead.Thanks must also go to the three strong men who helped put the jumps away afterwards , Rember many hands make light work!!! Hope you all enjoyed the day,  and that we see you all at the next jumping show on 6th June

Showjumping Report 7th June 2009

Fortunately the weather men were wrong again, and the sun shone on Sunday for the first outdoor door show jumping event of the year(The last one was cancelled due to the rain).
Thanks firstly must go to the Lumbard family and to Carolyn Basham and Alisha Howard for helping set up the show jumps and for Frank Lumbard for also helping put them away, without there help we might still be there now!
The day began with the smallest class for very novice rider.
With the fences set at 1'3ft - 1'6ft this was ideal for beginers and leadrein riders.First went to Helen Underwood and Murphy. Closely followed by Sammy Enticott  riding Lottie Ashlins New Forest pony Myer.This was to be  a good day for them also being placed 2nd and 6th in two other classes, well done to them both as this was Myers first jumping show.
Those in class 2  fences1'6ft -1'9ft showed a good turn of speed with only .2 of a second separating first placed Lizzie Saxony on Frankie and second placed Sammy Enticott on Myer.
Then the fences grew a little to 2'0ft -2'3ft. It was good to see  young  club member Jessica Tompkins andFfella back in action being placed first in not only this class but also in the next. She just pipped Emily Robinson on Comet, who belongs to Jessicas sister Isabelle, who was not riding as she has her arm in plaster.
